Its scientists made, for example, the Power Armor and the first version of the Forced Evolutionary Virus before the virus was moved to the Mariposa Military Base.

During the Great War a nuclear missile exploded on the facility's surface, resulting in the destruction of the FEV containment tanks and releasing the virus into the atmosphere, turning the whole area into one of the most irradiated in California.
Small Guns is a category of firearms, as well as a skill related to them. Easy to find and to handle, with cheap and plentiful ammo, they are the best guns out there for beginners.

Small Guns offer various possibilities of gameplay, from close-range bursts to long-range sniping. Both low-level and high-level characters will find Small Guns useful. The first group will be happy to know that finding ammunition and weapons is easy, the second, with the use of some tactics, can be very deadly with advanced weapons.

A character's ability to hit a target with a Small Guns weapon relies on how much skill he has. The maximum skill one can have is 300%, but such extremes are rarely needed. Fighter characters with around 200% are valuable fighters already. Thanks to aimed shots, which allow the best of marksmen to hit another character from across the map, Small Guns are a weapon of choice for snipers.

All the Small Guns deal Normal damages.

Yukihyou: /* The main base */ If you did not mean "store" but actually meant "stocked=resupplied" then feel free to change it.

Raiders live in two bases across the wasteland. One is a cave in which their main hideout, a "really secret spot," is located. The other is just a small outpost in the south, for sometimes they have some operations to do in that area.

The main base
The main base of the raiders is the one you can encounter in Fallout 2. It has only one entrance, and you can go there only by completing the quest in the southern outpost first (See below). The outside part consists of small houses, tents and pens, where most of the raiders live and wander around. A small, heavily guarded entrance in a cliff leads you to the cave of the raiders, where they keep their supplies and their special workbench with additional tools. This is also where the leaders stay so feel free to talk to them if you want. Here you can also resign from the Raiders faction.

The southern outpost
The Raiders' southern outpost is located near Vault 15 and is ruled by Jim Raynes. It is basically a small, not really secret, outpost where the newbies are sent to be tested. In this location you will do your first quest for the Raiders (killing Cooper). Only a few raiders stay here permanently to watch over the new members, gather supplies, or send messages to the main base.

Very similar to Fallout 1's Khans base, this outpost is only used as a small hideout: "If you've ever doing work in that area, then this is your safehouse", as Raynes tells you. He even adds: "Yeah, it's basically just a crash house for the boys if we hear about a juicy target from the Hub or Junktown. When there's nothing going on, the few of us that stay here all the time mostly terrorise homesteaders for what we need".

They might have some jobs to offer you there if you have joined the Raiders faction (Jobs not yet implemented in the game though).

Yukihyou: Rearranged the order to make is somewhat organized.

Here is some advice that beginners should read. It is really useful and may save your life. Really, this article is a gold mine, pay attention to it.

**For help getting started with FOnline: 2238 go here, it contains information about how to create a good character, starting in game, and so on.

**If you need any extra help other than that guide, it might be a good idea to check that whole section of the forum here.

Advice
* Once you're in the game, you may want to know some useful shortcuts. F1 will show them.
:Q shows the range of your sight.
:W shows the range of your weapon.
:A changes your to attack mode.
:F6 displays names above players' heads.

* At the beginning, trust nobody.

* Beware when you're in towns without guards (Most Northern towns). Gangs there will kill you without any hesitation. You can try to do some quests there to gain your first levels.

* Be careful. In the beginning random encounters are deadly. Even rats can kill you if you don't run fast enough! But as soon as you've grabbed a gun, you'll be able to slay 'em all!

* When you've got your first gun, avoid any human encounter. Try to kill spore plants, rats, little geckos, little radscorpions, brahmins (to get hides for your tent) and so on. Dogs are tough and fast, beware.

* If you keep dying in random encounters, tag the Outdoorsman skill making a new character, it will help you a lot once raised.

* Get yourself a tent. You'll need 10 brahmin hides, which at early levels can be hard to get. Check shops often for them.

* Before you get a tent, you can store your stuff in different towns. Choose towns with very few people and hide your stuff well, it should be moderately safe if it doesn't stay there too long.

* Shovel shit for experience and caps. Several towns contain a brahmin pen (Klamath, Modoc, Vault City, Redding, NCR...). Talk to the pen keeper, grab his shovel and you're ready to clean the pen of all the shit there is! Talk again to the pen keeper when you're done, you'll be rewarded for your work.

* Open a bank account if you start near a town with an FLC bank. It costs 100 caps but it's worth it.

* You can go in the desert and enter in a random location to search for resources. Resources are needed to craft items. Once you've gathered a few resources, you can craft some primitive but useful tools, or trade them (for a low price).

* Be careful with drugs, some of them, like Jet, will make you addict forever as soon as you use one. Get the infos on drugs on this wiki before using one.

* Pay attention to your reputation. Attacking or stealing in a guarded town may make town NPCs hate you. Killing slavers will make you hated in Den, killing Rangers will make you hated in NCR, and so on. Of course, animals are usually reputation-free so you can kill them with no change to your reputation.

Raiders live in two bases across the wasteland. One is a cave in which their main hideout, a "really secret spot," is located. The other is just a small outpost in the south, for sometimes they have some operations to do in that area.

The Raiders' souther outpost is located near Vault 15 and is ruled by Jim Raynes.

Yukihyou:

Hit Points (or HP) define the amount of damage your character can take before dying.

When your hit points reach 0 or below, you fall on the ground knocked down, which means you can only whisper. While knocked down you are unable to do anything. When your HP goes below -19 you will die, but if left alone, some HP regenerates every 3 minutes allowing your character to stand back up when it reaches 1 or above. Please note that it is forbidden to maintain someone below 0 HP (Hitting him to avoid hit points regeneration, to make him stay on the ground for a longer period of time).

Hit Points regeneration
You can get back your hit points using :
* A stimpack (Around +20hp), healing powder (around +20 hp and a temporary -1 to Perception) or any drug that would heal you - take care about the drugs inconvenients first, though.
* Your First Aid skill, that will heal you depending on the amount of skill points in the skill, with a cooldown if you use it (With 300% for example, you'll heal your target for 300 hit points). The First Aid skill will award you 3xp for each hit point healed.

Maximum Hit Points
The base maximum hit points formula is 15+Strength+(2*Endurance).

Additionally, you will be awarded more hit points when you go up a level. The formula for hit points per level is (Endurance/2)+2. As the number of hit points per level is rounded down, it is advised to have an even number of Endurance points (2, 4, 6, 8, 10).

Lifegiver bonus
The lifegiver perk will grant you 4 more hit points per level. As you can take it two times, the final bonus can be of +8 hit points per level. You can only take the Lifegiver perk at the level 12, and then at level 15 (if you do so, the total amount of bonus hit points gained will be 68).
