After speaking to him, go to the [[Amenities Office]] near the vault and speak to the man working there. He will tell you where the missing books are and give you a [[Scout Handbook]].

The books locations are :

* [[Renesco]] in [[New Reno]] has the [[First Aid Book]].
* [[The Professor]] in [[Broken Hills]] has the [[Big Book of Science]].
