The Pipe Rifle is a low-level Small Arm, strangely, it is harder to obtain than the 10mm Pistol.
Uses
The Pipe Rifle is useful for low-level snipers, who have the trait Finesse, and can't afford Hunting Rifles, Sniper Rifles and .223 FMJ. Pipe RIfles have medium range (20 hex range.). It is not a smart idea to bring it in a PvP battle, it won't pierce your opponent's armor. It is very great agianst low-level NPCs such as:
- Radscorpions.
- Brahmins.
- Rats.
- Little Geckos.
- Maybe some low level Raiders (Near NCR).
- Mantis in small numbers.
- Pigrats.
- Dogs.
Obtaining
- Purchase one off a Merchant.
- Completing the Give some beers to Aldo quest.
- Kill off players or NPCs.
