The Weapons Improvement is a project which aims to improve current weapons articles. The goal of this project is to give several informations about a weapon, so that even a new player can try to use it with the same attack modes and tactics as a skilled fighter. The goal is also to inform players about the weapons their attackers can have, what is their weak points, and how to obtain the same.

Contents

Improving an article

  • Adding basic infos, for example...
    • How can you get this weapon (Crafting (High requirements or not) ? Trading with players (Do the players often sell it) ? Trading with a special NPC ?).
    • While in a team, which tactics fits the best to this weapon (Example : Sniper Rifle => Not in first line).
    • Is it a useful weapon against armored targets ? Against ALL armors ? Unarmored targets ?
  • Explaining which weapon is quite the same, but can be considered as a bit weaker/stronger (Example : On the LSW page, you can explain that M60<LSW<Minigun in terms of damage done).
  • Giving its advantages and its disadvantages, such as price, weapon availability, range, damage, ammo availability, AP taken to shoot, etc.
  • Describing the different attacks and especially the situations in which those attacks can be useful (Single Shot, Aimed Shots or Burst ? You don't use them in same cases. AP cost is high or not ?). This is also important for Melee/Unarmed weapons.
  • Making links in the text, for example instead of LSW write [[LSW]] (-> LSW).
  • Do not edit AHS-9 tables, that include weapons' stats.
  • Do not add your personal point of view on a weapon, unless you have decent arguments.

Project steps

  • Check the list below. Tell (to Izual or by editing this article, in front of the weapon's name) which weapons you will improve.
  • This weapon will be moved into your part. When you finished editing the weapon article, add the {{Done}} (Done Done ) template to say that the article is improved.
  • Someone highly trusted will check your articles and :
    • Edit your part and add, after the Done Done symbol, what's to change.
    • Edit your part and add, after the Done Done symbol, the symbol that means the article is checked and nothing left has to be done.
  • Repeat step one. You can take care of several weapons at a time, not one by one (For example, you can decide to improve all the Melee weapons, etc).
