Your character's limb was heavily damaged and is broken. There are different penalties for each crippled limb. All kind of cripples can be healed using doctor skill or by healing by medics in cities.
Eye damaged
This means your character has been seriously hit in one or both of your eyes. This affects your Perception.
Perception is being lowered to one, which means you have a very limited field of view - 23 hex. Your chance to hit a target is also lower than the chance you would normally have without crippled eyes.
Crippled right/left arm
Your character's right/left arm has been severely hurt, and cannot function well. If one arm has been crippled, you cannot use two-handed weapons. If both arms have been crippled, you cannot attack with weapons.
With one arm crippled your character can't use two-handed weapons.
Crippled right/left leg
Your character has crippled right/left leg.
With one leg crippled your character cannot run in real-time. In turn-based combat, one hex move costs 2 AP. With both legs crippled your character moves slowly, hex after hex, in real time.
