GN13

History

GN13 was started in September 2011. The wise Armour craftsman Chess was crafting armours for new players at hub and had help from his partner Riva. As they were working together a person by the name of Accents, a hunter from Junktown, also joined them. These three later organized every person they could find and started helping more and more new comers. Soon we had purchased our very first base, and many more after that. Guns and armours were made and soon members started power leveling. Now GN13 is a organized group of dedicated non-PKs.

Policies / Procedures

GN13 is a non-PK faction (NPK), meaning that we do not shoot blueshirts randomly without reason. If you were planning on joining an organized group of raiders, your at the wrong place. GN13 also does not accept any form of player killing from its members. We help people, not shoot them in the face randomly.

Membership Ranks

POTENTIAL (or Hopeful) A potential is someone you've spent enough time with that you're hoping they join. Some potentials can be brought to a base and introduced (without adding them). Potentials have read our MISSION STATEMENT and bee informed of the faction's expectations.

RECRUIT We've met them, we like them, they like us, they like the MA, and want to join. We add them to a base terminal and thus they become new recruit. We should cover a whole checklist of basic training items with new recruits, regardless of their playing experience, including:

Game Rules (including no multi-logging or using scripts, and how GMs use "Jail" to test you.) Where to Log Off (and where not to) How to use radios (and how not to use radios) Communication via Mumble (at least mention this even if they cannot do it) How to use the distress signal When to use Turn-Based vs. Real Time Proper Use of Cars Base Security What is Expected of Members: multiple characters, some hunting, some crafting, some mining, some Hinkley training, some Town Control, etc.

All new recruits, regardless of playing experience, should also complete the following first assignments:

1) Bring 3 new holotapes to a base. Buy for 500 caps a piece (one at a time) at Boneyard Library 2) Bring enough raw materials to make 500 rounds of their favorite ammo. 3) Level up to 15 or higher 4) Go on some group hunts to establish TB combat coordination with team mates.

INITIATE Recruits don't stay recruits for long, we hope. Get through the orientation checklist and complete the assignments and a recruit should be ready to be initiated as a faction member, at which time they are "invited" and stationed at a particular base where they can access the terminal.

MEMBER Establish a good dependable reputation and max at least one strong fighter with a proper build.

CAPTAINS Those extreme fighter characters that reach level 21. Not any level 21 character, but those with the best builds for fighting and prove themselves to be consistent and highly effective in RT combat.

LEADER Logs on often, helps new people well, communicates well, and contributes often to faction administration.

To join GN13 post your application on this website http://generic13.freeforums.org . Or find Chess, Riva, Panzer Faust, or Stolckhom in game. It would also be good if you had Mumble and a mic for Town Control.

GN13 Mission Statement

1) Build a cooperative team of like-minded players to play honorably and enjoy the game.

2) To help all players play the game better, and especially help newer players get started.

3) To oppose tyranny and overly brutal play styles that threaten to suppress the game's most exclusive features like:

  Buying cars in New Reno
  Mining HQ materials and Uranium in unguarded mines
  Safely socializing in all towns

4) To help bring order to the wasteland by directing brutality to Town Control ops and to Hinkley where fights are expected and thus conducted in a more fair manner.

5) To provide a safe haven for honorable players who need help

6) To become highly competitive with experienced teams in the battles for Town Control

7) To win the vertibird race

Founding Fathers

Chess- One of the skillful leaders of GN13. A great craftsmen and leader. He is pretty much the grand founder of GN13.

Riva- A jack of all trades kind of guy. For a slightly new player, he knows his way around and is a great leader.

Accents- A hunter from Junktown and overall good leader.


Co-founders

Celldweller- A good guy but went missing after the group was started.

Huna- Sister of the great Riva. A overall good member that specializes in a lot of trades.

Boss Battle- A friend of Accents. He brought almost half the money to the table for our first base and helped Accents with getting guns and other things when he was a hunter.
