The Pipe Rifle is a low-level Small Arm, it is fired much like the firearm, Musket.
Uses
The Pipe Rifle is useful for low-level marksmen, who have the trait Finesse, and can't afford Hunting Rifles, Sniper Rifles and .223 FMJ. Pipe Rifles have medium range (20 hex range.). It uses 10mm JHP and 10mm AP, and each magazine holds only 1 bullet, therefore, it will have to be reloaded every time it is shot. It is not a smart idea to bring it in a PvP battle, it won't pierce any opponent's armor, however, It is very great against low-level NPCs such as:
- Radscorpions.
- Brahmins.
- Rats.
- Little Geckos.
- Maybe some low level Raiders (Near NCR).
- Mantis in small numbers.
- Pigrats.
- Dogs.
Obtaining
- Purchase one off a Merchant.
- Completing the Give some beers to Aldo quest.
- Kill off players or NPCs.
The following NPCs use Pipe Rifles:
- Vault 15 Squatters
- Powder Gangs
- Claim Jumper
- Female Farmers
