The character was most likely bitten by one of the poisonous creatures in wasteland such as common Radscorpion. The character will receive a small amount of damage over time until the poison is naturally expelled out of the body. The rate of damage received depends on the amount of poison inside the body.

• High poison resistance reduces the duration of a character's poison.
• Support perk Rad Resistance helps.
• Poison can be cured with an antidote.

Warning

Characters with HP below 0 who receive poison damage will die even if their HP is above -20.
