Starting locations are places where newly created player characters start the game.
There are 3 starting locations; the one you start your journey at is randomly selected. Each location has its own story and a small optional quest.
Once you leave your starting location, there is no going back, so make sure to pick up every item that you can find there.
List of starting locations
- Near the Hub
- Zone: 30:40
- Quest: Far Go Scout
- Note: You can get your first water bag and 50 experience points by talking to the NPC standing near the pool of water.
- Near the New California Republic
- Zone: 34:28
- Quest: The Message
- Note: Near the place you spawn there`s a water bag (near the campfire). On the outside in the sheet there`s tool and a piece of wood. While in this starting location there`s no opportunity to gain 50 xp for dialog option, this quest rewards with 250 xp unlike other places that give only 200.
- Near Vault City
- Zone: 29:05
- Quest: The Vault City Contact
- Note: You can find 2x junk and empty water bag in this starting location. Don`t forget to talk to the ghouls - you will receive 50 experience point for talking to one them about wasteland survival, other one can give you starting quest.
