AK-112 Assault rifle is good choice for marksmans and bursters.
Advantages and disadvantages
- Long Range weapon perk that increases chance to hit.
Assault rifle has big magazine that can hold 36 rounds 5mm ammo. 5mm comes in two flavours: 5mm JHP or 5mm AP. Unlike 5mm AP ammo, 5mm JHP ammunition is advised for snipers and can be crafted without need going into unguarded mine.
AK-112 has good range - 42 hex and damage. Assault rifle can burst for 6 AP sending 12 bullets at your target. You can burst 3 times until you empty magazine.
There are two other small gun rifles with similiar damage and range: hunting rifle and sniper rifle. Hunting rifle got a bit lower range and damage than assault rifle. Also it uses more expensive .223 FMJ ammo and can't burst. Sniper rifle got higher damage and range but can't burst and shot costs 1 AP more. Both weapons got much smaller clips than Assault Rifle.
Obtaining
This weapon is in wide use over the wasteland. This makes obtaining this weapon from NPCs pretty easy.

- Unity Patrol
- Hub Patrol
This weapon is also used by Robobrains in the Glow, and is used by ghouls in Gecko's reactor.
