[edit] Getting familiar with wiki editing

• The Help:Contents article will help you to get familiar with wiki syntax ! It contains everything you need about how to format a text in bold, italics underline it and so on, or how to make a link, to upload a picture on wiki, etc !

[edit] Instructions

• Join #2238wiki IRC channel whenever you edit wiki !
• Use the Show preview button before you save a page. Make sure that all of the code is in correctly as you intended.
• Tick This is minor edit when for example you modify grammar mistakes, or do only a small modification.
• Screenshots have to be taken in broad daylight, with Namecolorizing turned off. Display of names also off would be good.

• Remember not to edit AHS-9 templates (tables in weapons articles, for example).
• Players factions article might be created, but can only be linked on the player-driven factions article, if they are created.
• Do not modify players factions where you do not belong.

• If your English is poor, do not be ashamed. Just post a link to the page you've created here to be checked. You can also post there when you'd just like someone to look over your page.
• The settings for your account on this wiki can be very helpful and make editing of wiki a lot easier.
• It is recommended that you set your timezone, and it never hurts to edit the page about yourself.

• Look at Special pages there are many usefull tools and informations.
• For current wiki projects and "What needs to be done" list see To do.
• Check WantedPages to see which new pages are needed.
• Check RecentChanges to see what are other active contributors working on.

• If you think that certain page should be deleted, you can add it to the Category:Delete by adding [[Category:Delete]] to that article page.

Wiki moderators are here to make sure your modifications are tremendous. They will correct your mistakes and help you when they can, or revert bad modifications.

You can also ask active users for help and advice.

• All that needs to be edited is on the To do article, go there and see what you want to do !
• You can also, if you want, create an article for your faction, but it won't be linked anywhere on the wiki, you'll have to remember the article name.
• Adding relevant pictures is always needed !
