Raiders faction can be joined by player characters. The biggest advantage is level [3] of Gunsmith (Small Guns) profession which you can learn in the Raiders' base. However, joining Raiders will have negative impact on reputation in many other factions.

Joining
To join Raiders faction, you need at least 120 reputation points in Slavers' Guild. You can get the points for example by doing Bring Little Jesus Mordino's briefcase to Metzger quest or by becoming a slaver and selling slaves. When you will have at least 120 reputation in Slavers' Guild, you will be able to do Joining Raiders quest.
Unique advantages
Only Raiders can :
- See and enter the two Raiders bases (Southern and northern) on worldmap ;
- Use workbench with additional tools in northern Raiders base, which is needed to craft 7.62mm ammo ;
- Buy all the levels of profession: Gunsmith (Small Guns) - level [1] and [2] can be learnt some other place, but these with the level [3] can be learnt only in the Raiders base.
- Automatically make other players losing Raiders reputation (-50 per hit) when those players hurt or try to hurt the Raider player.
Drawbacks
- Modoc, NCR, Vault City, NCR Rangers, Unity, BOS, Redding and Junktown people (together with patrols and caravans of these towns) will shoot you on sight no matter what reputation you will have with them.

Leaving
To leave Raiders use the faction terminal located in the cave in Raiders' main base. Choose option Miscellaneous > Resign and confirm resignation.
