Hunting rifle is cheap but also weaker replacment for sniper rifle.
Advantages and disadvantages
Main advantage of this weapon is it's commonness. It can be looted from most of NPCs fe: Crazies; Robbers; Highwaymans; Gecko, VC caravans.
It's range (40 hex) isn't that great as sniper rifle or assault rifle one. Same in terms of any other stat like damage or clip size. Hunting rifle shot costs one AP less than shot from sniper rifle.
It also use rather expensive .223 FMJ ammunition unlike assault rifle.
However if you need cheap weapon with long range for fights in low-tier or none armor - it's good choice.
Other contents
It can be upgraded with scope to scoped hunting rifle.
