Abbreviations

This page lists the in-game abbreviations that are often used in FOnline: 2238. Many abbreviations are not in this list, because they are taken from first letters of ammunition, armors and weapons - like "Deagle" for Desert Eagle.

Refers to Deterioration level of the item, equal to 0%.

CA

Combat Armor.

CBT

Closed Beta Test. See also OBT.

BA

Brotherhood Armor.

LSW

Light Support Weapon.

Dev

Developer - a staff member who is working on the game.

Doc

Doctor Skill, player needs doctor assistance because they are injured.

FA

First Aid.

FEV

Forced Evolutionary Virus

GM

Game Master - a staff member who is solving players' issues and organizing events.

NPC

Non Playable Character.

PK

Player killer, the player whose main goal is hunting down other players.

PvE or PvC

Player versus non players - critters, npc, this usually represents the general usability of given skill, weapon etc in confrontation of the player with monsters.

PvP

Player versus Player, this usually represents the general usability of given skill, weapon etc in confrontation of the player with other players.

WTB

Want to buy.

WTS

Want to sell.

WTT

Want to trade.

AFK

Away from keyboard, player is not logged off, but is just away from the computer.

BRB

Be right back, represents that someone will go away, but will come back quickly.

Alt

Alternative character, you can make as many characters you want, but you can't relog only after 10 minutes have passed.
