Bring 10 caps for the door guard to let you in. Then talk to Patrick inside and accept the quest. He sends you to the Cathedral basement. You start with killing rats. Some of them are stronger Brain Varmin rats with over 200 hp. One of the rooms is locked and after picking you can take 3 flares from the desk. Afterwards open the stair lid and get to the lower floor. You can expect the same work – kill some more rats. Search and find the key that opens the next room. On this level there are some bookcases with items. In the room with light blue shadow is standing a glowing ghoul who seems to be in a trance. He will attack you if you mess with him. There is another key to find here. On this floor you can see another manhole that leads to a cave cellar under the basement. You will probably be a little shocked at what you see down there. There is a robed Crazy Monk who will attack you to protect the giant plants. These are 14 Venus Mantraps (3D) and they are poisoning the ground water. You might get slightly radiated, but kill the plants, go tell Patrick about your adventure, and choose your reward. |
Note: As of November 2012, this is a solo quest. Other characters cannot follow you into the basement. This means you'll need a character with both combat and lockpick skills.
Note: Once you finish the quest, you can't go back in. So ensure you have searched it well.
